Hadith Jibril (Iman, Islam & Ihsan) - Shaykh Hamza Yusuf

This Hadith, narrated by Umar bin Al Khattab R.A, describes an encounter between the Prophet Muhammad SAW and a mysterious man in white, who is later revealed to be the Angel Jibril (Gabriel). The man asks the Prophet about key aspects of the faith, leading to a discussion on the foundations of Islam, Iman (faith), Ihsan (excellence), and signs of the Day of Judgment.

- Shahadah: The declaration of faith.
- Salah: The five daily prayers.
- Sawm: Fasting during Ramadan.
- Zakat: Almsgiving or charity.
- Hajj: Pilgrimage to Mecca.

- Belief in Qada’ & Qadar .
Iman (faith) is described as a deep conviction and affirmation in one’s heart.

It is d
efined as doing good deeds and making the world a better place.The essence of Ihsan is to worship Allah as if you can see Him, and if not, to act as if He is always watching.
